Awards and Grants
Soroptimist has several awards and grants to help women overcome obstacles. We offer financial support and honor hardworking women.
Soroptimist Dream Grant
This grant is all about helping women who have faced economic and personal hardships to live their dreams. The program helps women build a better life for themselves. The Soroptimist Dream Grant funds up to $500 which can be used for licensing fees, testing fees, tuition or transportation including
bus passes and gas cards.

This program assists women who provide the primary source of financial support for their families who are enrolled in or have been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.

Every year, Soroptimist clubs distribute more than $2.6 million in education grants to about 1,700 women all over the world. Over half of our Live Your Dream Awards recipients are survivors of domestic violence, trafficking or sexual assault. Nearly all of the women and families we serve have overcome enormous obstacles including poverty, teen pregnancy, and drug or alcohol addiction.

Women Helping Women Award
The Soroptimist Women Helping Women Award honors women who have worked to improve the lives of women and girls through their professional and/or volunteer work. The work of these women helps to promote the issues that are important to the Soroptimist organization.
Honorees are ordinary women who have worked in extraordinary ways to benefit women and girls. Examples of the type of work honored include: spearheading an effort to open a domestic violence shelter, starting a mentoring program for at-risk girls, or lobbying companies to provide on-site child care. The program enables our local Soroptimist club to thank these women and encourage others to explore ways to assist women and girls. The award winner from our club receives a $300.00 donation to the charity of her choice.
